This week I decided to do another simple card since most of my supplies are packed due to redoing my craftroom . ..  I'm getting there, but it's taking longer than I planned. Oh, well!

Here's what I came up with this week:

I used a washi tape stamp set along with some twine, inks and blue paper from CTMH. The cream paper which is Cryogen from PaperTemptress

Remember, you have one week (till June 6th at 2am PST) to get your "Freestyle" projects in.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this week.

Thank You (masculine) - Eureka #142

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "For the Boys" (masculine).

For this week's challenge, I used digi25411 "Vertical Thank You"  from Eureka Stamps and a "template" I came up with for a tie . . . I wanted to make a card for my hubby, thanking him for all the extra work he as been doing the past week or so. I now have a new kitchen sink & faucet, a new dishwasher (YAY!!! I had been without one for over a year) and two (2) new toilets . . . the only downside is my scraproom "remodel" has been put on hold again. But that is okay since hubby has next two (2) days off for vacation . . . so guess what he'll be doing?    Anyway, using CTMH papers and studs, here's what I came up with:

Before cutting the tie, I trimmed my paper to 8x8 so I could run it thru my printer and used MSWord2013 to insert the "Thank You" several times in several different colors . . . I wanted to make sure it showed up enough on the darker paper rather than using white or cream.

I think it turned out cute . . . but guess what my hubby said? "Next time, put a knot on the tie." How would I know that?  I don't wear ties and I thought it looked complete.  Well, we'll see if he gets a card from me anytime in the near future. lol  Actually, it is okay because I prefer constructive criticism so I can do better and he knows this . . . so whenever I make something for him, he usually tells me something that could make it better, even if he already LOVES it. :)

Remember, you have one week to get your "For the Boys (masculine)" projects in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are so inspiring!!!

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Good Times are HERE - HIMCR #200

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!

Here it is Saturday once again,
and you know what that means, don't you??

That's right . . . it is time for a new challenge over at Hiding in My Craft Room. This week the challenge is "Any Holiday".  How FUN!!!

So let's get out paper, glue, scissors
. . . and get to craftin'!!!

The sponsor is Shop Pumpkin Spice!

For this week's challenge, I decided to do a layout of one of our "Spring Break" vacations (or "holidays").  I used  a sketch from CTMH and went from there.  So using some CTMH paper (Seaside). misc. enamel dots and some Bazill cardstock to go with some paper from CTMH, here's what I finally came up with:

I know it is a bit different from the one on the HIMCR blog, but I felt it still needed something.  So while doing "page 2" of this layout, I ended up adding a couple things - some twine and netting.  Here's complete 2-page layout::

NOTE: The cream squares are where photos ares . . . my daughter didn't what her photo to be "broadcasted" over the web. lol

Remember, you have one (1) week (till May 30 th at 2am PST) to get your projects in over in at Hiding in My Craft Room in order to be for this week's prize from Pumpkin Spice.  Can't wait to see what you can come up with this week.

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Sunshine in My Garden - HIMCR #199

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!

Here it is the 3rd Saturday of the month
and you know what that means, don't you??

That's right . . . it is time for a new challenge over at Hiding in My Craft Room.  And for this week, you are to use a button or buttons on your projects.
So - Buttons, Buttons, Who's got the Buttons?

Now let's get out our paper, glue and scissors and get to craftin'!!!

The sponsor is Pickled Potpourri!

For this week's challenge, I used an imaged from "Sunshine in My Garden" and it's coordinating sentiment (I used the .PNG so I could overlay it on the watering car) from Pickled Potpourri.  So using some more scraps, a pearl button, some miscellaneous gems and my pastel pencls, I came up with this card:

Recognize the paper (and sketch)?  Yes, it is from the same paper collection I used on a project last week. I am in the process of "remodeling" my craftroom . . . I actually had just started 2 weeks ago when I ended up having health issues for almost 1-1/2 weeks (about 10 days), and most of my paper is packed away in boxes.  I had thought I'd be done in a week or two, so I only kept out a couple different paper pads for projects that I might need to do. And those paper pads are getting slim as to what I can use or not. So unfortunately, my projects for the rest of the month will be from the same few paper pads.  Though, I just might have to breakdown and find one of the boxes with my paper pads. :)

Remember, you have one (1) week (till May 23rd at 2am PST) to get your projects in over in at Hiding in My Craft Room in order to be for this week's prize from Pickled Potpourri.  Can't wait to see what you can come up with this week.

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Thinking of You - Clear It Out Challenge

Does anyone know what time it it?

That's right . . .

It's CHALLENGE time!!!

That's right . . . it's time for a new challenge over at Clear It Out Challenge. And once again out fearless leader, Laura, has come up with another GREAT challenge for us this week - it's a COLOR challenge.  How fun is that!?!?  So let's get out our paper, scissors, and glue . . .

Are you ready?

I didn't hear  you . . .

Are  you ready?

Okay, IT'S CHALLENGE TIME!!!

Theme: Green
Stash: green embellishments

You have 1 weeks to play(till May 19th)

This week's our sponsor is Digital Paper Craft:

For this week's challenge, I used a digi called "Girl on Fence" from Digital Paper Craft. So pairing up with scraps and "Durable Artisan Studs" from CTMH, here's what I came up with:

But each time I looked at my "finished" card, I felt like it still needed "something".  And for those who know me and how I do cards, know that I usually don't add a sentiment until I"m ready to send or give the card away . . . this way I almost always have a card to fit an occasion or one I can personalize if I am short on time. I thought maybe a sentiment would help make it look more "finished".  So after adding a sentiment leftover from yesterday's project, here's how it turned out:

Much better, don't you think???

Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out our "Green" challenge. Remember, you have one (1) week to get your "green" project in over at Clear It Out Challenge.  Can't wait to see how much "green" we come up with.

Till next time I'm up in the night.

Thinking of You - Eureka #140

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

First off, I want to apologize for being MIA all week . . . due to health issues, I wasn't able to craft or do much of anything this past week.  But I'm doing much better and am anxious to get back into the swing of things.  :)

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "May Flowers".  Absolutely PERFECT!!  I am so enjoying watching all the pretty blooms popping up everywhere now that the weather has decided to cooperate. :)

For this week's challenge, I made a little box for holding candy (9 Hershey's Nuggets, in this case) for my mom for Mother's Day and used digi7706 "Thinking of You" from Eureka Stamps as the sentiment.  Using "Brushed" paper collection from Close To My Heart and the CriCut Artiste cartridge (also from CTMH), here's what I came up with:

I changed the line color of the sentiment to green  in MSWord2013 and used a stitched oval die to cut it out.  These little boxes are such a cute and easy gift to make . . . once I played around with my Cricut for awhile (I am more proficient on my Cameo - lol), it took less than an hour total to make a several of these for gifts.  Also, all sorts of sentiments and embellishments can be used for any occasion . . . and the boxes would also work GREAT as small gift boxes. Why buy wrapping paper if you can make a quick box?

Remember, you have one week to get your "May Flowers" projects in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for this week's weekly prize.  For more inspiration, make sure to check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

Till the next time I'm up in the night.

Just a NOTE - Eureka #139

Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!

There's a new challenge this week at Eureka Stamps . . . and the theme this week is "Feminine Card".

For this week's challenge, I used digi58901 "Lacy Butterfly" from Eureka Stamps.  So after changing the color lines and fussy-cutting several butterflies and making a computer-generated sentiment from a stamp set I saw at my Scrappin for Soldiers retreat last weekend, I used my pastel pencils and miscellaneous scraps to come up with this:

I also used flowers from Prima and miscellaneous gems I bought from CropChocolate a couple years ago . . . they came in a small divided plastic container with a dozen other types of gems and pearl like bling.

Remember, you have one week to get your "Feminine Card" projects in over at Eureka Stamps in order to be eligible for the weekly prize.  And for more inspiration, check out the other Design Team members' cards . . . they really are so inspiring!!!

Till the next time I'm up in the night.
